Description:Plascore, Inc. is a global manufacturer of structural honeycomb cores and lightweight composite panels for aerospace, automotive, marine and many and varied industrial applications. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for facilities.

The Maintenance Mechanic - Facilities performs mechanical/electrical maintenance, repairs and servicing of plant equipment, building and facility. Performs all activities in compliance with company safety policies and practices and maintains neat and organized work areas at all time. Incumbent must exercise good judgment and adhere to company policies. Must be a self- starter able to work individually and as part of a team.
Duties:Maintains critical/non-critical equipment at a high level of reliability.
Evaluate and repair a wide variety of machinery and equipment using acquired knowledge, skills and experience, some fabrication of parts and new and/or used but serviceable repair parts.
Ability to perform repairs to parts or equipment that may require cutting, brazing, TIG/MIG or stick welding.
Knowledge of facility plumbing including water system and sewer.
Carpentry skills.
Performs advanced troubleshooting of facility equipment and machinery if required with the guidance of the Facilities Manager.
Identifies parts to be repaired, inventories critical spare parts, and recommends ordering of non-stock items.
Performs preventative maintenance requirements on both machinery and HiLo.
Performs high quality maintenance services completing jobs thoroughly.
Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the experience and qualifications required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Four (4) years experience in manufacturing/industrial environment or site maintenance and/or repairing machinery.
Preferred skills in welding, blue print reading, basic fabrication, PLC troubleshooting, basic carpentry, and HVAC.
Must be knowledgeable of electrical theory, mathematics, motor repair, wire splicing, welding, and the repair of electrical controls and circuits.
Proven knowledge of related building codes, regulations and ordinances.
Basic math skills
Basic computer skills level with experience in Microsoft applications.
Basic understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, janitorial.
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to obtain, clarify and give information from a range of easily understood to highly technical.
Work is indoors and outdoors requiring use of ladders or catwalks in confined spaces. Must be physically capable of climbing ladders, working with hardware, working in a lying position, working with arms extended overhead for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift/move a minimum of 10 pounds up to an occasional 75 pounds. Experience with lifting equipment helpful.
